Taxi booking – here’s how it’s done!
Taxi booking is quick, efficient and reliable and – best of all – the service is nationwide. Whether you’re in Helsinki or Rovaniemi, you can call the same number to book your taxi. You can quickly and easily book a taxi by phone or by using our app.
Through 02 Taksi, you order a car that suits your needs. Do you value a cheap price, speed, or do the reviews received by the taxi company influence your choice? Do you want to travel ecologically or with a slightly better VIP ride?
In our service, you can find both low-emission cars and electric taxis. In the 02 Taksi application, you can recognize low-emission cars in green color and electric taxis in blue color. When you call the phone service, the customer service representative will tell you about the low-emission options according to your wishes.
If you want to arrive in style, a premium taxi is your choice. High-quality premium taxis are marked with black cars in our application.
Book a taxi with the app
You can effortlessly book a taxi with our app, which you can download from your own app store. Just like our telephone service, the 02 Taksi app offers a positioning service as well as various options for booking your taxi. You are able to compare different taxi companies and you can choose your ride based on the price or arrival time, for example.
After registering your account, you are ready to book a taxi. Enter your pickup address in the field provided. If you want to get a fixed price for the journey, enter an address in the destination field and tap on “Find a taxi”. After this, you’ll be able to compare different taxi companies and rides. Once you’ve selected the car you want, book the taxi by tapping on the “Proceed to book” button. After booking, you will be able to track the arrival of the taxi in the app in real time.
Book a taxi by phone
You can book a taxi by calling our telephone service at 020230. If you’re not sure about your address, our telephone operators are able to find out your whereabouts and send a taxi to you. You can choose your ride based on its fare or arrival time. After making the booking, you will receive a tracking link, which contains all the necessary information regarding your booking as well as the opportunity to track the arrival of your car.
If no cars are available due to congestion, for example, your booking will be queued or, if you so wish, your call will transferred to another taxi service. This way we can ensure you always receive the best possible service.
Taxi fares – journey at a fixed price
In-app prices
02 Taksi forwards the price information it receives from the taxi companies to the customer with no extra charge. Customers can download and use the app to make a booking free of charge. The taxi fares of various companies can be found in the app.
Call prices
Calls to the 02 Taksi service number 020230 are subject to a charge of €1.94 per call + €0.06 per second. The prices include VAT (25,5 %). The call price includes call transfer and text message information. Your own operator will charge you for a local network fee or mobile phone call for the time you spend on queue and for the duration of the call.
Payment
You can pay your driver directly either with card or cash. In addition, you can pay for the fixed priced rides of selected partners directly in the app by using a card, Apple Pay, MobilePay or earned credits.
Compare example fares for taxies
According to a regulation by the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom, taxi companies are required to have the fare for an example journey on display. You can compare the example fares of taxi companies here.
The price of the call includes call transfer and the sending of information via SMS
If a call is transferred to a company or service number that is subject to a charge, the transferred call will be charged according to the applicable rate for that number. Calls transferred via the 02 Taksi service are not included in the calling plan of your subscription.
Call recording
We will record your call in order to ensure the rights of the involved parties. We use the recordings to improve the quality and expertise of our customer service and to prevent fraudulent conduct. The recordings are made in a secure manner in accordance with the GDPR and other acts. The recordings are not used for any other purpose and they are not disclosed to third parties. The call recordings will only be processed by authorised people bound by professional secrecy.
